Day 29 – Prayer Focus – “I AM”
Verse 14- And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘ I AM has sent me to you.”
What does God mean by HIS ” I AM WHO I AM ” statement ? He is saying, I am the eternal, self-existent one who does not change, (Mal. 3:6, James 1:17).
After the Jews accuse Jesus of having a demon and asking Him if He is greater than father Abraham and the prophets in John 8: 48-53, they ask Him, “Who do You make Yourself out to be?” In verse 58- Jesus identifies Himself as the Great ” I AM ” most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”
Jesus further identifies Himself in His 7 ” I AM ” statements, ” 7 ” meaning (completion, perfection, all, finished, rest) :
1) John 6:35- ” I Am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”
2) John 8:12- ” I AM the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of the world.”
3) John 10:9- ” I AM the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”
4) John 10:11- ” I AM the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.
5) John 11:25-26- ” I AM the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
6) John 14:6- ” I AM the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
7) John 15:1- ” I AM the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.”
Revelation 1:8- ” I Am the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Father I thank You, that in You I have everything I need for life, in You I find my completeness. In this I rest.
I believe it was Corrie Ten Boom who said, ” Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”
He is the Great ” I AM “, the same yesterday, today and forever!

Day 28 – Prayer Focus – “Goodness & Perfection of God”
In James 1:16, James reminds us not to be deceived and he states why in verse 17: “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”
In the midst of the increasing deception, confusion, instability and darkness of the world, we are not to be deceived. Let us take heed to Gods word, He is a good Father and all His work is perfect. God is light and in Him is no darkness at all, 1 John 1:5.
Father we thank You that You change not, that You are the same yesterday, today and forever, Hebrews 13:8.
We thank You for the protection, wisdom, and truth that Your word reveals to us so that we can walk in Victory!

Day 27 – Prayer Focus – “The Lord God Most High”
Jehovah-Elyon is used about forty times in the Old Testament. The word “Elyon” literally means “supreme God” or “most loved God.” This name of God means “The Lord God Most High.” It first appears in Genesis 14, in which the King Melchizedek of Salem praised Abram’s rescue of his nephew Lot. Pagan kings believed their gods helped them in battle. If they were defeated, they believed it was because their enemy’s god was stronger than their own. King Melchizedek realized that Abram faced impossible odds in the battle to rescue his nephew Lot. Abram served “the most high God,” Elyon.
Our God is the owner of the universe. He owns everything. We are stewards of what he has allowed us to possess. We will give more than our tithe to the Lord’s work when we realize he owns it all anyway. He is the “Lord God Most High.” Our God is able to deliver our enemies into our hands. We have nothing to fear when the odds are against us. Our God is greater than anyone or any other power! He is Jehovah-Elyon!
Day 26 – Prayer Focus – “The Lord of Hosts is a Warrior”
Isaiah 31:5 – “Like birds flying about, So will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem. Defending, He will also deliver it; Passing over, He will preserve it.”
Our prayer focus today is on the Warrior nature of our God; the Lord of Hosts. God is a fighter and we are in His army. We are following a commander in chief who has never lost a battle. God desires for us to understand His warrior nature because it is on the inside of us. He wants us to stand up for Him as warriors who will face the enemy so that the lost may be saved.
We pray that we will understand His character as the Lord of Hosts. The Lord of Battles will tell us exactly how to stand against the strategies of the enemy today. He will counsel us on how to fight and how to win our victories. Our God has never lost a battle! He is the wonderful counselor and He leads us and guides us into victory!
Isaiah 28:29 – “This also comes from the Lord of hosts, Who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance.”

Day 25 – Prayer Focus – “Jehovah Nissi”
Exodus 17:15 – Banner over me is Love.
A banner is a standard carried at the head of a military group. It was a rallying point in time of war. Soldiers could look across the battle field and see their kings banner which gave them courage and confidence.
The Lord is our banner. The sign of conquest and victory. Victory comes when we allow God to be our banner. Remember you are not alone on the battle-field and we should be on the battle-field.
God will bring us the victory over:
1. Sin
2. Bad habits
3. Self
4. Sorrow
5. What ever keeps us from moving on with God
His banner over us is Love.

Day 24 – Prayer Focus – “Show me, Teach me, Lead me”
Psalm 25:4-5 – “Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.”
Proverbs 16:25 – “There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.”
We acknowledge that we cannot live a righteous life without the help of the Lord.
We need the Lord to show us his ways, teach us his paths, and to lead us in his truth.
Our prayer today is that God will show us how to live our lives the way that he intended us to live. We ask the Lord to show us how to handle the situations that we face today. We ask the Lord to help us to be teachable. We pray that we live our lives to honor Him and not to satisfy ourselves. And most of all we ask the Lord to lead us in His truth. God’s word is truth and the truth will make us free.

Day 23 – Prayer Focus – “Father’s Love”
Even when I am wounded Father sees me as beautiful and takes pleasure in me.
(Psalm 149:4)
I am salt and light of the earth. Father has given me purpose
(Matthew 5:13)
He has forgiven my iniquity and remembers my sin no more.
(Jeremiah 31:34)
I am called a child of God. He accepts me.
(John 1:12)
I am freed from condemnation. I am secure in my Father.
(Romans 8:1-2)
My Father loves me with an everlasting love.

Day 22 – Prayer Focus – “Bless the Lord”
The Hebrew word for bless is barak which means to kneel, salute, to thank. Today we focus our attention to bless the Lord with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. We bless His holy name! See you at church!
Day 21 – Prayer Focus – “Government of Peace”
Isaiah 9:7 – “Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end…”
We focus our prayers and petitions to our God of Peace. We pray for God’s Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth today as it is in heaven. We thank God that we are citizens of His government of peace. We pray for the peace of God that passes all understanding to guard our hearts and our minds.
There are two areas of our lives that the peace of God will protect, they are our hearts and minds. The heart and mind is about 18 inches apart. If one is troubled it affects the other. I pray that the peace of God, that passes all of your human reasoning, will guard you and protect you today!
Philippians 4:5-7 – “Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Day 20 – Prayer Focus – “Prayer for our Leaders”
1 Timothy 2:1-4 – “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
