Why
Jesus?
Everyone
has sinned and falls short of God’s glory (Romans
3:23). However,
God loved the world so much that He sent His Son to
die in our place so that whoever believes in Him will
have eternal life (John
3:16). The wages of sin is death, but the free gift
is eternal life in Jesus Christ(Romans
6:23). Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is
a new creature; the old things have passed away and
the new things have come(2
Corinthians 5:17). For by grace you have been saved
through faith; not by your own strength, but by the
gift of God so that no one should boast (Ephesians
2:8-9). If we confess our sins, God is faithful
and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse
us from all unrighteousness (1
John 1:9). If you confess with your mouth Jesus
is Lord of your life, and believe in your heart that
God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved (Romans
10:9). Truly, I say to you, unless one is born again,
he cannot see the Kingdom of God (John
3:3).
If you believe this and would like to let Jesus lead
your life instead of doing it on your own, you can pray
a prayer like this right now, right where you are: Heavenly
Father, thank you for sending your son, Jesus, to die
for me. I repent of my sins and turn to You. I give
You my life. Come live in me. Change me, cleanse me,
make me the person You want me to be. I receive You,
Jesus, as my personal Lord and Savior. Amen. Now,
don't keep it to yourself, tell someone. Another Christian
that you know or you can even email
us here at the River and we will celebrate with you.
