Alter
Workers
The purpose of the alter worker is to serve those being
ministered to during the prayer time at the end of the
service.
Building Maintenance
The Maintenance team is to serve the needs of the building,
servicing and maintaining the building and heating and
cooling systems
Children’s Ministries
The purpose of the River of Life Children’s Ministries
is to pastor children by building relationships, teaching
the Word of God, expressing love and acceptance, and
providing a safe and secure environment where each child
is valued and respected. The goal of the department
is to encourage the children to learn and to live for
God by helping them to understand scripture and apply
it to their everyday lives.
Cleaning Team
The cleaning team serves the family by keeping the building
clean, neat and orderly through sweeping, dusting, cleaning
windows, etc.
Connections Café
The purpose of the Connections Café team is to
prepare and serve food and beverages for the congregation
and to provide a place of fellowship for people to connect
with one another and evangelize.
Connections Event
Real Life Answers for Real Life Issues! These various
events are outreach focused and happen throughout the
year.
Drama
The purpose of the drama team is to visually present
and communicate a message that supports a biblical truth,
through, plays, skits and dialogues.
Greeters
The greeters help people feel welcome, comfortable,
and accepted in God’s House. Persons in this ministry
will be responsible for handing out bulletins and other
information as they welcome guests and members.
Hospitality
The hospitality team assists the pastors in meeting
the needs of the people by helping to organize special
functions, preparing meals for those in need and sending
cards.
Library
The purpose of the River of Life library is to provide
printed, visual and audio resources to members. Also,
to provide educational resources to those members who
are taking further education.
Landscaping
The purpose of the landscaping team is to beautify the
grounds around the building, mowing the lawn, trimming
bushes, weed whacking, etc.
Love In Action - Outreach
Love In Action programs reach out to our community with
the love of Jesus Christ in a real and tangible way.
We do this through Thursday evening children’s
programs, as well as other special events where we go
to the community to take the Word and the message of
the Good News. Love In Action realizes that our community
is not beating down the doors of the church to get in
- so we are going to them, loving them, and showing
them Jesus first hand.
Men’s
Ministry
The Men’s Ministry is designed to empower men
to be all that God has called them to be.
Photography
To provide a pictorial record of the River of Life family
by taking photographs and/or video footage at special
events, during special services, and as assigned throughout
the year.
Prophetic Team
The Prophetic Team is also called the Elijah Troop.
The purpose of the Elijah Troop is to raise up, mentor,
and reproduce mature prophetic teams that minister hope,
life, and freedom to the Church, to the community, and
to the world.
ROL Praise Band & Worship Team
The purpose of the River of Life Praise Band & Worship
Team is to lead people into the presence of God and
to tear down strongholds by declaring God’s love
through demonstrative praise and worship so that people
can experience the freedom of salvation in Jesus Christ,
the ministry of the Holy Spirit and the intimacy of
a relationship with God the Father.
ROL Dance & Praise Arts Team
The Expressive Praise Arts Department was established
to provide artists a place to express their creativity
in a way that is pleasing and worshipful to God. The
arts are divided into Dance Team, Language Team, Flags
& Banners Team, and the Drama Team.
School of Ministry
The School of Ministry is open to all who are interested
in furthering their knowledge and understanding of the
Word of God. In addition to providing quality education,
we also offer a program that will allow students to
receive a Certificate of Completion in Ministry Studies.
Sound & Media Team
To serve the worship team and Pastors by assisting in
the setting up and mixing the weekly worship services
and special events, including power point presentations.
Ushers
Ushers are responsible for assisting with the needs
of the congregation and leaders of the church during
services and attending to the details and general operation
of the church service. Some duties include receiving
offerings, giving directions, moving equipment, and
preparing communion.
Vehicle Maintenance
To serve the needs of the vehicle maintenance by cleaning,
servicing, and maintaining the River of Life vehicles.
Women’s Ministry
The Women’s Ministry is designed to empower women
to step out into the call that God has placed on their
life. Deborah Troop meets for quarterly breakfasts as
well as conferences, prayer retreats, Bible Studies,
MOPS (Mother’s of Preschoolers) group and other
activities.
Youth
Ministry
To disciple our youth to be followers of Jesus Christ
by building community through relationships while providing
Christian events, outreaches, and activities for the
youth.
